The consumer brand make tapes, adhesives and sealants. With their products being sold to customers, through a network of professional merchants and DIY retailer stockists.
To significantly improve on their old website, this project required us to deliver two key objectives.
1. Continuous Development
We build all our websites around a content management system (CMS). Because of this the new Hippo site would allow continuous development. And sustainable future expansion with good document management. Additionally the CMS would bring product news features and help manage good, organic, search engine optimisation (SEO).
2. Product Information
To become a self contained, online hub for product information. Everything on the new sites interface, should be focused around showcasing the brands products.
Full e-commerce functionality wasn’t required, but the finished site had to work as a searchable, catalogue. We’d also identified a need to help visitors make a smoother journey towards a transaction. So the solution was to create a dedicated page for each product. These insightful pages could then become a primary port of call to learn everything about them.
– Location Search.
Following this we then included a feature where retailer locations could be searched for. This was based on specific product ranges available for collection at partner retailers. Then for delivery we built in managed links to online partner websites.
